We're in print!

Well, that’s it – we’re officially in print. A heartfelt thank you to those who have pre-ordered, we expect you all to begin receiving your copies around the end of August and into early September – maybe slightly later for our overseas customers. It’s been one hell of a ride for the small team behind the scenes!

We've shown a few of the proof copies to a select few trusted people, those with a great experience in aviation publishing, and the feedback we've had back has been delightfully encouraging;

"Brave, brilliant and unforgettable."

- James Kightly

"In almost 25 years of editing aviation magazines and books I have never seen a more beautifully designed product than the Vintage Aviation Echo.

"Beauty is more than skin deep of course, and the depth of coverage in Volume I is breathtaking. From racers to recent rebuilds, there’s something for every aviation aficionado - all written in a style that manages to be engaging as well as accurate.

"Small runs of high quality publications are the future of aviation publishing. Quality will never go out of fashion and it is refreshing to see a new group of young and talented authors, editors, photographers and graphic designers reenergising and reinventing the market."

- Stephen Bridgewater

Volume I is a limited edition journal and copies are still available for the time being. They will also be available at airshows and events via the Aviation Bookshop, and through other retailers (details to follow).

In the background, we’ve had to make the difficult decision to take down our old website due to a multitude of factors. We will be republishing a small selection of the articles on this new website in the space currently occupied by the Volume I preview pages to give new readers a taste of the content quality and design ethos without taking anything ‘off the table’ in terms of new features for the magazine itself.

We are also delighted to announce that Fighter Flights will be a stockist of The Vintage Aviation Echo in New Zealand. Copies will be available directly from Fighter Flights in the near future and we are delighted that this partnership will give enthusiasts in New Zealand and Australia a local means of getting hold of a copy.

Fighter Flights' Graeme Frew, owner and pilot of Yak-3 'Full Noise', is featured in Volume I's Reno 2017 retrospective, looking back at what many consider to be the last great Unlimited Gold air race.

We're excited for you to enjoy the finished item when it thuds through your letterbox!
